Welcome Aboard…and thank you for your interest in the Dorchester Yacht Club (DYC). We have been a part of Boston’s waterfront community since 1870 and at our current location on Dorchester Bay since the 1950s. Our mission today, as it has been since our founding, is to provide greater Boston a welcoming, affordable boating community.

Our current membership very much reflects the demographics within Boston. What binds us is  a shared passion for “messin with our boats” and enjoying all that that Boston Harbor and its nearby islands have to offer. Within our membership you will find young families, some very serious fishermen, folks who enjoy cruising the New England coastline, folks enjoy a nautical social environment and of course our fair share of old and crusty salts.

Our website had been designed to address about 95% of the questions both new and prospective members may have about us. If you can’t find the answer here, please feel very free to reach out to our membership committee. They are easily reached at membership@dorchesteryachtclub.com.

As a member owned and managed club, we also have a very real expectation that all our members contribute both their time and expertise in facility upkeep and improving membership experience.

Fairwinds and tightlines,

Greg “Hoss” Bedrosian
